Measurement laboratory
At FOS POLMO Łódź S.A., quality is not just a slogan — it is the standard for every production process. A key element of our quality assurance system is the modern Measurement Laboratory, equipped with over 10 advanced measuring machines — both contact and non-contact, including optical systems.
Our measurement facilities include, among others, CMM Leitz coordinate measuring machines and OPTICLINE optical systems. These devices enable measurements with accuracy down to 0.001 mm and full control of geometric dimensions, coaxiality, concentricity, runout, and surface roughness.
The FOS POLMO Measurement Laboratory ensures independent quality control at every stage of production — from raw components to finished assemblies. Continuous quality oversight, compliance with the IATF 16949 standard, and close cooperation between the production and measurement departments guarantee that every component leaving the plant meets the highest standards of the automotive industry.
Compressor testing station
The Research and Development Department of FOS POLMO Łódź S.A. is responsible for the company's technological development and the design of modern solutions for the automotive industry. We create new generations of compressors and components, develop production processes, and test the durability of key parts — from crankshafts to cylinder heads.
We design compressor models tailored to OEM customer requirements, optimizing the geometry, durability, and operating parameters of individual components. We implement modern machining and testing technologies, combining production experience with advanced engineering facilities.
We work in line with the Industry 4.0 concept, using data, automation, and quality control for the continuous improvement of products and production processes.
